ITINERARY: The daily activities included and not limited to that listed below

Day 1: Launch of your Space Journey

Welcome to NASA! You shall meet up with DQ Labs mentor and other participants at the Airport in India. Short briefing; after check in and immigration, we shall proceed to board the Airlines to Houston. Reach Houston the same evening and airport transfers to the hotel. After a brief orientation to the workshop, have dinner and an early night.

Day 2: Orientation and Blast Off!

Today we start off with Gallery and tram tour around Johnson Space centre. Visit the Mission Control Centre, See a mock up of the International Space Station (ISS) and visit the Rocket Park.
We then work towards designing and building a Single stage rocket and a Thermal Heat Shield to launch and protect our astronauts from the extreme conditions they are subject to!

These are engineering based activities that help us understand what Blast Off actually means and how astronauts reach space!

Day 3: Martian Habitat Challenge

Today, we actually get to launch the rockets we built yesterday! Of course, that is subject to approval from the weather Gods.
Additionally, we work towards understanding the challenges for our astronauts to inhabit Mars! Get involved with various aspects of understanding how they get water, air, food, energy and communication during their lives in space

Various simulated scenarios help us understand every aspect of survival in space

Day 4: Exploring Mars

We start off with designing and buildinng Cryo-Capsule – just what is required to protect our astronauts from the extreme cold!
We also go to the interesting part where, we are given a set of tasks to complete – on the surface of Mars! You need to design, plan the finances and build the rover you need to complete the tasks on the surface of Mars. You also participate in a Robotics Competition to see how well you perform tasks

Day 5: Working in Weightlessness

We head straight to the Neutral Buoyancy Lab to Scuba Dive with trained professionals and ride in Gravity Chairs. This is exactly how Astronauts train for their space walks with simulated conditions!
Construct your own Mock up Air-Lock system and perform other tasks in a weightless environment.

Day 6: Brunch with an Astronaut

Have the experience of a lifetime – where you meet and share a meal with a real astronaut! Interact and get answers to all your questions on space travel!
Also visit the Starship Gallery and visit the Independence Space Shuttle.

Finally get your certificate for the workshop through a Graduation Ceremony which happens at the end of the workshop!

Day 7: Goodbye Houston!

After an exciting space adventure, we finally explore Houston before taking the flight back home.
Time to throw your seat back and reminisce about the week gone by. Think about how you could showcase and present your learning. The flight arrives at India the next day.

Time to say goodbye to your fellow astronauts and talk about your experiences with family

The space adventure comes to an end!
