CEED Entrance Exam
For admission into M.Des/ Ph.D. programme offered by various IIT's and IISc, students have to appear for the exam CEED exam. Prestigious colleges like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IITDM Jabalpur, IIT Kanpur and IISc Bangalore consider CEED score for their admission process.
Students clearing the CEED exam are eligible to apply for M.Des/ Ph.D. programmes in these institutes. Students have to apply individually to the respective colleges. Note here that qualifying in the CEED written exam does not guarantee your selection, he/she has to appear for further tests/interviews to confirm their final selection.For more information you can refer CEED 2018 brochure.
NOTE: CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of result.
CEED Exam Eligibility:-
Candidates must have a diploma/degree/post-graduate degree programme of 4 years or 5 years(3+2) after 12th / appearing for the final examination or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level). Candidates are advised to check whether they meet the required criteria or not, before applying to the CEED exam.
NOTE: Candidates can apply for any number of times as there is no age bar restriction.
CEED Paper Pattern:-
CEED exam consists of two parts: Part A and Part B.
- Part 1: It contains objective type questions (multiple select questions, multiple choice questions, and numerical answer question). Answers will be given through a computer-based exam. The questions will be based on design aptitude which evaluates visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity of the candidates.
- Part 2: It includes questions which evaluate design, drawing and writing skills.In part B, questions will be displayed on the computer screen and answer will be written down in the answer book provided by the invigilator and will be collected by the investigator at the end of the exam.
